Army-Navy game to remain on CBS through 2038 after parties agree to 10-year extension

The Army–Navy football game will appear on CBS through 2038 with additional weekly programming airing on Paramount+ and CBS Sports Network, the parties announced Monday morning.

The agreement is part of a 10-year extension reached to keep the rivalry on CBS and allow the media company exclusive streaming rights. CBS has served as the home to the annual Army-Navy contest since 1996.

“America’s Game is special and has always been about more than football,” CBS Sports president and CEO David Berson said. “We are privileged to document the extraordinary stories of the cadets and midshipmen on and off the field and will continue to celebrate the traditions and history of this great game while highlighting these venerated service academies for years to come.”

Army and Navy compete for the 125th time at 3 p.m. ET on Saturday in Landover, Md. Navy leads the all-time series, 62-55-7.

Both teams will compete in bowl games later this month. Army (11-1), the American Athletic Conference champion, faces Marshall (10-3) in the Independence Bowl on Dec. 28, while Navy (8-3) plays Oklahoma (6-6) in the Armed Forces Bowl on Dec. 27.
