The last time these two NFC North foes faced off was less than a month ago in a Week 12 thriller in Chicago on Nov. 24.
Sam Darnold led a game-winning field goal drive for a 30-27 Vikings victory in overtime after a furious late comeback by the Bears, who scored 11 points in the final minute aided by a successful onside kick to tie the game. Minnesota wide receiver Jordan Addison had a career day with 162 receiving yards and a touchdown catch in the win.
This would be Matt Eberflus’s final game at Soldier Field as Bears head coach, as he was fired following Chicago’s disastrous end-of-game clock management the following week at Detroit.
