Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb is expected to return to the field in the team’s Week 7 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals, according to a team source.
Chubb began the season on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list after sustaining a torn ACL, PCL and MCL in Week 2 of the 2023 season. The injury was to the same knee he severely injured in 2015 at the University of Georgia, which cost him much of his sophomore season.
The Browns drafted Chubb in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft, and he’s been with the team since. Since entering the league, the four-time Pro Bowler and former All-Pro selection recorded the fourth-most career rushing yards (6,511) in franchise history, while his 48 rushing touchdowns are third most.
In 2022, Chubb ran for a career-high 1,525 yards and 12 touchdowns while playing in all 17 games.
