Daron A.: Caitlin has the “It” factor. She will make the league a behemoth if those in power allow it. Keep the games free to watch. Last year they started putting them on NBA TV and I couldn’t watch. I have lost all interest in baseball because my local team requires a fee to watch.
Anonymous: Whatever she is paid, she should be paid more.
Dan F.: I have nothing against Clark, she is something of a phenom, but I have doubts that the media focusing so much on her is good for the game overall in the long term. As we can see from the comments here, there are many who only want to watch Clark play. Catering to those people is advantageous in the short term, but looking more closely, it will create a fan base that roots against every other team that Indiana plays, in a sense building a base of anti-fans of all the other teams.
Bob M.: I’m a CC fan and very much appreciate and respect her talent and contributions to the game. I have no problem putting every game she plays on national TV – as long as essentially the same thing happens for many other top WNBA players. What you say, that can’t possibly happen? Then forget about over-emphasizing the importance of CC in today’s game. It would only unnecessarily feed division.
